The Fellowship of the Unashamed

I’ve got something to share with you that will bless you today. It’s an excerpt from our Academy High School Bible study curriculum:

“I’m part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.

“My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, worldly talking, cheap giving and dwarfed goals.

“I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, platitudes or popularity. I don’t have to be first, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, am lifted up by prayer and labor by power.

“My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

“I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know and work till He stops me.

“And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me at all!”

WHAT AN ATTITUDE. Let it permeate our very soul and core at CAC.

Please pray for the Tim Lovato families this morning; Sis. Brenda’s father, Cecil, was rushed to the hospital a bit earlier, suffering severely, and, according to the doctors, with little hope of surviving the day. Many unsaved family members are impacted by this situation and the Lovatos need strength and wisdom from above.

Are you geared up for a weekend of personal revival? I trust that we’ve all been getting the word out about Bro. Terry Black’s (Memphis, TN) visit and powerful ministry Sunday in both services. Folks, I LOVE getting calls informing me that entire new families are planning to visit our services, because of YOUR witness and invitation. I received one just yesterday for this Sunday!

Thank you for your many prayers and inquiries about my wife and her parents. They made the road trip this week and are doing well in Mississippi. Thanks for keeping them in your prayers as well.

Lord bless your day, in a rich way!

See you Sunday for an HG Powered set of services.

Pastor D. E. Haymon II

P.S. Thank you, Sis. Jen Montieth, for the following graphic design!

About pastordonhaymon2

Senior Pastor Don Haymon II began his journey as a minister when he was raised in the home of the founder of Calvary Apostolic Church—his father. In 1986 he concluded a four-year internship under his father as associate pastor. It was at that time that he received his ordination certificate as a minister of the gospel. He married LaRonda Ellard, in 1992. He earned a bachelor of arts in Communication from the University of Denver the same year. In 1997, Don became senior pastor. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Hope International University. Today, he is the passionate shepherd of Calvary Apostolic Church of Denver, guided by a compelling and true call of God. For those in his pastoral care, he seeks personal development and spiritual growth as a priority. His preaching and teaching has taken him around the world to at least 10 countries. Under his leadership, he has founded six churches in Burma. The challenge of communicating the Acts 2:38 gospel worldwide remains his heartbeat as well as the constant growth pattern of the local church in Denver. He and LaRonda are the parents of three grown children. They reside in Castle Rock, CO.
