Happy 52nd Wedding Anniversary, Mom & Dad!

Greetings, beloved CAC family! I bring you tidings from the Mississippi Delta. My father-in-law, Rev. Wayne Ellard, will be transported by medical transport to Colorado leaving this afternoon. Lord willing, I will be doing a ride-along to keep him company in the vehicle. Your continued prayers for my wife and her family are, as always, deeply appreciated. A great big thanks to all who’ve so lovingly communicated thoughts, prayers, and concern.

Today, August 2, 2013, marks a very special day for my precious mother and father: Happy 52nd wedding anniversary, Elder & Sis. Haymon!

“Mom & Dad, we hope this is a special day marked with many great memories and much satisfaction with regard to the wonderful legacy of love that you two have forged, and continue to exemplify.”

We will never forget the auspicious occasion of Eld. & Sis. Haymon’s golden wedding anniversary in 2011. It was for that anniversary that the immediate family collaborated to present a cruise vacation gift certificate to our parents. They have chosen to redeem it and will be disembarking for Alaska later this month. For today’s celebration, the church has gifted them with a $500 gift card to take along. (See accompanying photos. CAC family, if you have not yet made a contribution toward this gift, you are welcome to do so in this weekend’s offering collection).

Congratulations, Eld. & Sis. Haymon! Bon voyage!

I look forward to seeing all of you, God’s wonderful people, this Sunday morning and evening at our weekend worship services. Please bring a guest! The Rain is still pouring, the Wind is still blowing!

God bless your day with the richness and joy of His Presence.

About pastordonhaymon2

Senior Pastor Don Haymon II began his journey as a minister when he was raised in the home of the founder of Calvary Apostolic Church—his father. In 1986 he concluded a four-year internship under his father as associate pastor. It was at that time that he received his ordination certificate as a minister of the gospel. He married LaRonda Ellard, in 1992. He earned a bachelor of arts in Communication from the University of Denver the same year. In 1997, Don became senior pastor. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Hope International University. Today, he is the passionate shepherd of Calvary Apostolic Church of Denver, guided by a compelling and true call of God. For those in his pastoral care, he seeks personal development and spiritual growth as a priority. His preaching and teaching has taken him around the world to at least 10 countries. Under his leadership, he has founded six churches in Burma. The challenge of communicating the Acts 2:38 gospel worldwide remains his heartbeat as well as the constant growth pattern of the local church in Denver. He and LaRonda are the parents of three grown children. They reside in Castle Rock, CO.
