[CAC Friday Communique] Happy Birthday Israel!

Were you aware that this week, May 14, 2014, marked the 66th birthday of Israel as a nation? Most of you who are reading this, like me, had not yet entered the planet! That day was a day of celebration as an ancient nation, globally dispersed–the first of its kind historically ever to do so–experienced a grand reunion.

That date was the fulfillment of a prophecy made hundreds of years before:

Eze 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.

You will be interested to know that Jesus made a vividly prophetic statement with regard to this regathering:

Matthew 24:32-34
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Did you catch that? Jesus is giving a very clear reference to a time frame. He said THIS GENERATION shall not pass… What generation? The generation that experienced the regathering of Israel. Clearly He says that “all these things will be fulfilled.” What things? All the signs of the end of time! The end of the world itself! Previously in the same chapter His disciples came to him and asked Him to tell them when the end of the world could be expected. He then launched into the very familiar wording of the end of time. He spoke things like “You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars,” and “nation shall rise against nation.” Ominously, He said “Then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

The end is upon us! “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be revealed.” How long is a generation? Some say 40 years, some 70. It is also possible that Jesus was speaking of the completion of a generation, the passing of those who were born in that time frame. Folks, regardless of what a generation means in God’s mind, we do know that those born when Israel was resurrected from the ashes are now 66 years old! How many years do they (or this world) have left?

Are you ready?

Rev. 22:20 “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
