It is with a very heavy heart that I pass along the news that the young man we prayed for earlier today did not survive.
He was one of many youth and young adults traveling home today by automobile from the PEAK conference in Tulsa. He suffered head trauma and other unknown injuries resulting from an automobile accident and was life-flighted to a hospital in Mississippi. We know him through his legacy in a longstanding Apostolic family. His name is Bro. Trenton Bass. His grandfather and great-grandfather both have ministered to our congregation over the years. He’s the great-grandson of Rev. J.T. Bass, the grandson of Bro. Wade Bass, and his father, who is currently pastor of the congregation in Ocala Florida, is Rev. Tim Bass.
Please send your prayers for his family and all those impacted by this sudden tragedy. Although we’ve known him through the years, my sons and my family were freshly & deeply connected to him during the last several weeks of ministry. He became a close friend to Don III, Jared, Michaela Teets, and Alyssa Hammann. They spent lots of time with him in Roatan, Honduras, and at the youth conference in Tulsa this past week. Pray a covering over our precious caravan returning home from the same conference! They are passing through Kansas at this moment, due back home sometime this evening.
