Just Ahead for CAC, Fall 2014

"And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready" (Rev 19:6-7).

There’s an electrifying sense of excitement in the air as God’s people at CAC, young and old alike, grasp a newfound understanding that God’s purpose and power is within closer reach than ever! (You may ask, "what is God’s purpose & power?" Excellent question! God’s purpose is to seek and save that which was lost and His power is the preaching of the cross as the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without the latter, the former is powerless! Isn’t it beautiful that God has provided all that we need to be well-equipped soldiers of salvation everywhere we go!?) There is a new generation rising, both spiritually and chronologically, who are not satisfied with "business as usual" and the status quo. (Latin for a shortened version of "the state in which things were before the war"). By spiritually, I mean those who, within the last few years, have been filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. By chronologically, I’m referring to the youth and young adults of our assembly.

In my nearly 30 years of pastoring, I have not witnessed such an eager and zealous desire by our youth and young adults to carry the torch into the darkness of our city! Likewise, I have never witnessed those who have recently found the power of God operating in their lives so ready and filled with desperation to impact their circle of influence and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ!

The time has come for the Church as represented by the assembly at CAC, in an unprecedented way, to collectively arise and say "The Fields Are Ready, Workers Are Equipped, Let The Harvest Begin!"

There are so many exciting prospects for outreach and upcoming revival events that I would like to share in this piece, but in the interest of space, I will limit my remarks to our next church-wide opportunity to impact a brand new host of people for God’s glory. This is the "Fall Crusade: Searching Catholics." It begins on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:30 PM. It will conclude on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Our guest is former Catholic priest, Douglas Hanscom. We plan to have services on both Tuesday and Friday evenings of that week (11/18 & 11/21). The Friday evening event will be a regional invitation to Apostolic Pentecostal churches to join us for an unprecedented presentation by Bro. Hanscom. We are inviting churches everywhere to bring their friends and family members who are Catholics searching for more of God. On Sunday we will have a crusade service at 10:00 AM followed by a potluck dinner and an opportunity to have our guests meet Bro. Hanscom, hear his testimony in a more intimate setting, followed by a baptismal service!

I will conclude by sharing a few pieces of heartfelt communication sent directly from Bro. Hanscom as he continues in prayer and preparation for his visit.

Pastor Haymon,

Just a note to let you know that we are very excited about Denver and the second year for "The Searching Catholics Crusade." Not only because of scandal that has rocked the Catholic Church in recent years but because of the extremely liberal approach of the new Pontiff you will see many hungry Catholics searching in Denver and throughout the earth. The church in Rome has gone from one extreme with Pope Benedict XVl to another with Pope Frances l. This indicates confusion and a lack of trust in the Roman Curia that governs the church. The end of man-made religious Christianity is in sight!

I have been praying about this crusade. I am very exited about the district-wide session on that Friday night. I plan to talk about the deception of the second veil and perhaps weave in a bit of my personal conversion from the Roman Catholic Church to Christianity. For Tuesday, November 18, I will be explaining the true essence of sin.

A real and genuine revival is coming your way my brother. The Lord, through the Apostolic Church that you pastor, will be turning troubled Catholic hearts into hungry souls for His glory. The sincere of heart will find the real Altar!

CAC family, help us get the word out! Soon, you will see this event posted to our website (www.cacdenver.org), presented on an exterior banner-sign, as well as deliverable by personal invitation with a postcard.

May we all remain closely in step with what the Spirit is saying to the church. We must all be about our Father’s business!

Your Servant In Christ,

Pastor Haymon

Senior Pastor Don Haymon II began his journey as a minister when he was raised in the home of the founder of Calvary Apostolic Church—his father. In 1986 he concluded a four-year internship under his father as associate pastor. It was at that time that he received his ordination certificate as a minister of the gospel. He married LaRonda Ellard, in 1992. He earned a bachelor of arts in Communication from the University of Denver the same year. In 1997, Don became senior pastor. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Hope International University. Today, he is the passionate shepherd of Calvary Apostolic Church of Denver, guided by a compelling and true call of God. For those in his pastoral care, he seeks personal development and spiritual growth as a priority. His preaching and teaching has taken him around the world to at least 10 countries. Under his leadership, he has founded six churches in Burma. The challenge of communicating the Acts 2:38 gospel worldwide remains his heartbeat as well as the constant growth pattern of the local church in Denver. He and LaRonda are the parents of three grown children. They reside in Castle Rock, CO.
