CAC Pastor’s Friday Communication for June 26, 2015

  John 9:4 (MSG)

[4] We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over.

A blessed and happy day to all of you! We must keep shining the light of the Gospel. As darkness grows, we know our Lord’s return is near! Do not be dismayed at the day’s disheartening news of sin’s onslaught and ever-approaching doom. These are signs of the times! Jesus is coming, sooner than ever!

Mile High Conference Revival 2015 (brochure attached) is just over three weeks away, time to get a move on for improving our hosting facilities. The sanctuary and all the grounds around CAC are ready for your help with upgrades and repairs. TOMORROW WE GATHER AT 9:00 AM FOR THE CHURCH-WIDE MAINTENANCE WORK DAY. (In two weeks, July 11, we gather once again for a large-scale, all hands on deck, CLEANING WORK DAY).

Our great Stewardship team has put together the following preview of tomorrow’s projects. If you see a job or two that resonates, that seems like a fit for you and your family, please email Bro. Senior Pastor Don Haymon II began his journey as a minister when he was raised in the home of the founder of Calvary Apostolic Church—his father. In 1986 he concluded a four-year internship under his father as associate pastor. It was at that time that he received his ordination certificate as a minister of the gospel. He married LaRonda Ellard, in 1992. He earned a bachelor of arts in Communication from the University of Denver the same year. In 1997, Don became senior pastor. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Hope International University. Today, he is the passionate shepherd of Calvary Apostolic Church of Denver, guided by a compelling and true call of God. For those in his pastoral care, he seeks personal development and spiritual growth as a priority. His preaching and teaching has taken him around the world to at least 10 countries. Under his leadership, he has founded six churches in Burma. The challenge of communicating the Acts 2:38 gospel worldwide remains his heartbeat as well as the constant growth pattern of the local church in Denver. He and LaRonda are the parents of three grown children. They reside in Castle Rock, CO.
