Prayer Pattern in Your Hand!

 Matthew 6:9-13  After this manner therefore pray ye:

PRAISE: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

PURPOSE: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

PROVISION: Give us this day our daily bread.

PARDON: And forgive us our debts,

PEOPLE: as we forgive our debtors.

PROTECTION: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

PRAISE! For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

THE DIFFERENCEI got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t take time to pray.

Problems just tumbling about me, and heavier came each task;

“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered. He answered: “You didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty – but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;

I wondered why God didn’t show me, He said: “But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence, I used all my keys at the lock

God gently and lovingly chided: “My child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;

I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

    The message last night and this blog post was right on time and spoke to my situation. I was awoken in my sleep around 1:00am and started praying. It was 3:00am by the time I felt like going back to sleep. That was definitely the most fervent prayer I have ever experienced. I tapped into a power source that started moving mountains I had built with my own hands. So much disappointment had happened up to this point and things seemed disasterous. But after touching the throne of God like never before a feeling of peace with such richness flooded my soul. The first scripture I laid my eyes on the next day was this:
    For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

    Beyond the shadow of a doubt, God reached out and knocked on my door and am I ever glad I answered.
