Great News for CAC Denver!

Grace, “charis” in Greek, is defined as “divine influence on the human heart reflected in the life.” God has been GRACEful to CAC Denver for over 60 years. This past week has been no exception!

As you may know, we have been praying for months now regarding the replacement of the boiler system for our auditorium and main facility. The Christmas Eve sewage backup caused by city maintenance jetting, has created quite the cascading effect of inconveniences and expenses. Looming on our horizon was the potential of having to pay for a large portion of a $250,000 new furnace and boiler system. This, including dismantling of walls and doorways to allow installation access into the building, is looking like it it may total nearly a half $1 million project!

Thank you for praying! Just this week at a high-level meeting called by our insurance company, including out-of-state engineers, contractors, and adjusters, we were given the news that we can expect this not to cost CAC a penny! Even the $1000 insurance deductible will be reimbursed! Our new insurance company seems to be much more accommodating. They will hire subrogation attorneys to deal with the matter as it relates to our city water district. Just wanting to give you a Praise Break on this beautiful Friday! Isn’t God good?

One more exciting testimony from Sis. Tracy Leach that I wanted to share, direct from a text message she sent yesterday:

Good afternoon, Pastor.

I know Gil will never say so I wanted to tell you. Today, the nurses, and both Chaplains at PSL told Gil that they have had excellent feedback on Chaplain Gil. In fact, several patients have requested Gil to visit them again. God is using him mightily, I believe. One patient even said he wants to go Gil’s church when he gets out of the Hospital. Gil gave him a church card so we hope he will indeed visit. Just thought I would let you know.

We Love you and Sis Haymon.

Hebrews 13:16 (AMP)
Do not forget or neglect to do kindness and good, to be generous and distribute and contribute to the needy [of the church as embodiment and proof of fellowship], for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Senior Pastor Don Haymon II began his journey as a minister when he was raised in the home of the founder of Calvary Apostolic Church—his father. In 1986 he concluded a four-year internship under his father as associate pastor. It was at that time that he received his ordination certificate as a minister of the gospel. He married LaRonda Ellard, in 1992. He earned a bachelor of arts in Communication from the University of Denver the same year. In 1997, Don became senior pastor. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Hope International University. Today, he is the passionate shepherd of Calvary Apostolic Church of Denver, guided by a compelling and true call of God. For those in his pastoral care, he seeks personal development and spiritual growth as a priority. His preaching and teaching has taken him around the world to at least 10 countries. Under his leadership, he has founded six churches in Burma. The challenge of communicating the Acts 2:38 gospel worldwide remains his heartbeat as well as the constant growth pattern of the local church in Denver. He and LaRonda are the parents of three grown children. They reside in Castle Rock, CO.
